, Daytime is analog Nighttime is digital... kewl
Smoking restriction on public spaces, will definitely affect alcohol industry...
The momentum of the night got broken...
It's Salone del Mobile days, the city is sparkling nicely.
Yesterday I went for a couple of design events, saw nice things...
Ended up in the Bar Basso, a typical Milanese bar. It's one of those places that makes you feel proud of the city. In my opinion it contains the "absinthe lighting factor". The lights there not just light but burn...
Am I talking too much? hehe! well, guess the 3 Negroni Sbaliatti are still running on me...

It's 5:45 am and I can't get back to sleep.
I do really love the indirect lighting effect that this offers to my appartment, showering it evenly with a blueish Blade Runner,Wong Kar-Wai,Jean Nouvel'esque kind of glow.
I am no longer walking into the dark, but flowing thru the blue...you know what I minnnn!?...

-Around 1831 Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) created this extraordinary picture (left). It is known as "The Great Wave Off Kanagawa" ...
-By the mid 1970 Quiksilver came out with their "Mountain/ Wave" logo (center) that with times and trends hasn't stop evolving (right)...

Today I received a very encouraging mail from a good friend of mine, Diego. About this site... & I'm posting : )
A few weeks ago I rented this movie. The warriors, 1979.
The first time I saw it was like 20 years or so, but don't know why this one in particular has kept so clear in my fussy memory for so long. Guess it's because it contained so many "first times that I see" things.
I really enjoyed watching it again, made me remember me and my brothers fooling around at that time; for any of us being one of the warriors would have been one of the coolest things in earth. My god their leather vest!!...WOW!!
Back then, we even had our very own Kiss concerts at home, we would paint our faces with toothpaste (our faces completely burned by the mint) Tennis raquets were guitars and craker cans drums. I would play the bass, role I didn't die for, but my older brothers had already the others for themselves...and sure, my oldest brother Eduardo because of hierarchy, played Gene Simons....bastard.

These Days I am so much into Talking Heads.
Probably because they are a direct link to my brother Eduardo...he was the one who back on the eighties made me listen to them.
Maybe because they where part of the soundtrack of the first surf movie that I ever saw. "THE PERFORMERS" -1984-
Names like Byrne and most particulary Eno have certainly "carved" their places inside my Talking Head.

Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb - burn with a weak heart
(So I) guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It's ok I know nothing's wrong . . nothing

yesterday night I went to a lovely concert of Nobukazu Takemura. The music was pretty experimental, composed mainly by sounds and frequencies with no clear musical structure, but that putted together with the projected videos, the hole experience was comprenhensible and incredibly fun.
Thanks Loro for the "call"! wish you were there...
Had to wake up early today to go for the Milano Plastics fair, (remember 5/7/2003 silikone&rubber stuff) and it was ok!...found precious info, so I am happy.

dame mas pichiiiiirreee!!!

thanxs to yellow
It was pretty strange to arrive home and find my remote control on the street.
I bought a GRUNDIG tv in a flea market when I arrived to Milan (jan 1998) It was one of those models that has a glass in front of the screen in order to give da "flat" screen appeal. (fake flat screen let's say) The price was good so I took it home.
Day by day the image quality got worst, not to mention the audio...in it's last period I had to switch it "on" 30 minutes (pre-heat process) before it starts displaying anything, usually I would go to take a shower, eat and then finally, I could watch. Some "hand taps" on its top and on it's sides would acelerate the process.
It survived 3 visits to the tech guy but unfortunately one day it went > OFF < forever.
